Metro Tracker ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data when you use our Delhi Metro navigation application.

By using Metro Tracker, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

📍 Location Data Collection

Metro Tracker collects your device's location data, including background location, for the following core purposes:

• Detecting which metro station you are currently at or approaching.
• Calculating your real-time journey progress along your planned route.
• Triggering smart arrival alarms and notifications when you are approaching your destination station, even when the app is minimized or the screen is locked.
• Identifying the nearest metro station to your current position.

Your location data is processed locally on your device and is only transmitted to our secure servers to update your live trip session. We do not store your location history after your trip ends.

👤 Account Data

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address — for account authentication via OTP (One-Time Passcode).
• Trip history — to show you recently visited stations and past journeys for convenience.

You may also use the app as a Guest without creating an account. Guest data is stored only on your local device.

🔔 Notifications

Metro Tracker uses local notifications to alert you when:

• You are approaching your destination station (3 stops, 2 stops, 1 stop, and arrival alerts).
• An interchange/line change is coming up on your route.
• You appear to have gone off-route or in the wrong direction.

You can disable notifications at any time in your device's system settings.

🔒 Data Security

We take data security seriously. All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard HTTPS/TLS. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.

🗑️ Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at the email address below. Guest mode data can be cleared by uninstalling the app.

👶 Children's Privacy

Metro Tracker is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

🔄 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Metro Tracker after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
